EARTH WEEK EVENT HAS BEEN MOVED TO TUESDAY!
Earth Week Event: Sustainable Livin’
This week we will be hosting an Earth Week event in place of our regular meeting. We will present all our tricks to sustainable living which we have developed in our projects abroad (i.e. biogas stoves, low-energy water filtration), as well as our own homes in Cville! We have ‘sustainability kits’ for you to take home and try out for yourself— including stuff you can stick in your toilet, super cool!
Other Interesting Events and Opportunities
Ever been interested to hear how the UVA community deals with green initiatives on grounds? If you’ve ever wanted to have an honest discussion about the ways that sustainability affect our day-to-day lives, join Sustained Dialogue’s Earth Week-themed discussion on April 17th, 7PM. Our location is to be announced but what we can announce is an open and dynamic conversation about the successes and failures of the environmental movement and sustainability here at UVa.

If you need to document a project for publication or for a presentation, this workshop is for you! Photographs make a dynamic impact. They can tell a compelling visual story and get people engaged with your project on a personal level. Images and text together are by far the most effective tools for communication.
You don’t need a fancy camera but you do need a bit of technical know-how and some handy tips on how to get the best shots.
“Earth Week is April 16-22! Join us for any and all of the events put on by our amazing CIOs to celebrate and spread awareness for sustainability and environmental issues on grounds. There is something for everyone – check out our events page!”
